About Chicha San Chen
Bubble tea shop
Located at 9750 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77036, Chicha San Chen operates as a bubble tea shop serving Houston in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tea in the United States covers everything from a traditional Chinese or Japanese tea house to a Southern sweet-tea counter, and the fastest-growing segment is bubble tea: Taiwanese-style milk teas and fruit teas with tapioca pearls, sold by chains and independents alike with adjustable sugar and ice levels. Tea rooms serving afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches usually require a reservation, while boba shops, juice bars and smoothie shops are walk-in and quick. Kava and kombucha bars are a newer category, and loose-leaf tea stores sell blends, teaware and gifts, often with a tasting counter. Prices for a drink run similar to coffee-shop prices, with premium teas and cold-pressed juices at the high end.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Chicha San Chen at (713) 684-7810; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 415 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded bubble tea shops in Houston.
Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had such a lovely experience here! We did the tea tasting and tried all five of the teas they have. Excellent, inspired a lot of conversation. Latifa was so sweet! The whole staff was warm and professional, generous with their time and energy, even in a bustling space.

I think this is the first boba shop that sells boba for over $7 for just a small cup. The Bubble Volcano I ordered, which is a boba milk tea, doesn't really have any tea flavor. The environment in the store is clean and comfortable. However, the price and quality disappoint.

Do not pass this place up! The decor here is simple yet aesthetically pleasing. We had several questions and they were happy to provide clarity. The drinks are absolutely perfect. They focus on tea and do it well. Tea tasting is held on weekends starting at 1PM.

Really good boba spot. The drinks are rich, flavorful, and made really wellβeasy to tell they use good ingredients. The space looks great too, very aesthetic and eye-catching without feeling overdone. Nice place to hang out or just grab a drink. Definitely one of the better boba spots Iβve tried.

One of my favorite bubble tea spots in Houston. The tea quality at San Chen is consistently good, and you can really taste the difference compared to regular milk tea chains. The drinks are freshly brewed and not overly sweet. I especially like their oolong and milk tea options β smooth, fragrant, and well-balanced. The store is clean, modern, and service is usually quick even during busy hours. Definitely a great place if youβre looking for high-quality bubble tea in the area. Always happy to come back.
